Ralph Lauren has recently opened “Ralph’s Coffee & Bar” on Regent Street in London. This is the first time the brand brings one of its restaurants to Britain – and it’s a beautiful hybrid of its other outposts around the world, combining the intimate feel of Ralph’s in Paris, the barista brilliance of Ralph’s Coffee in New York and the after-hours Manhattan elegance of The Polo Bar.
Kitted out in that kind of all-American style that’s made Ralph Lauren world-famous (polished brass, dark wood panelling, rich green fabric and saddle leather on the seats, and plenty of horse-related paraphernalia) and with under 40 covers, the bar has that cosy, quintessentially intimate feel of an East Coast gentleman’s club.
The curated menu offers light fare in the traditional American style, broad selection of coffee styles and variety of coctails. The cocktail list includes classic recipes, including the Old Fashioned, along with new libations mixed exclusively for the London set, which may be enjoyed with signature bar snacks—fried olives and mixed nuts.
The London eatery is located next door to Polo Ralph Lauren’s flagship store at 173 Regent Street, London W1B 4JQ.
