Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese will work together again on another project. It was revealed to Variety by Scorsese’s longtime production designer Dante Ferretti who confirmed that the filmmaker will shoot next year a film adaptation of “Killers of the Flower Moon”, the true-crime thriller with DiCaprio in a leading role. The story, set in the 1920s, focuses on a string of murders of members of the Osage nation in Oklahoma after oil was discovered beneath their land. The chilling series of slayings was one of the fledgeling FBI’s first major homicide investigations.
This will mark Scorsese and DiCaprio’s sixth collaboration in 16 years following “Gangs of New York”, “The Aviator”, “The Departed”, “Shutter Island”, “The Wolf of Wall Street” and the forthcoming “Devil in the White City”.
