A first official look has been released of ‘Mr. Robot’ star Rami Malek as Queen frontman Freddie Mercury in Bryan Singer’s upcoming biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody” at 20th Century Fox, GK Films and New Regency.
Entertainment Weekly premiered the photo from the film which chronicles the formation of Queen in the 1970s through to the band’s iconic performance at Live Aid in 1985, six years before the singer died of complications from AIDS.
Director Bryan Singerhe combined forces with writer Anthony McCarten (“The Theory of Everything”) who penned the most recent draft of the film which opens Christmas Day 2018.
