Despite of its strong presence in high end fashion, Parisian luxurious brand Balmain has to wait a very long time for the opening of the first boutique in London. The flagship British shop has been opened this month in the heart of Mayfair on South Audley Street in adjacent to other top brands like Balenciaga, Rick Owens or Christian Louboutin. The interior design of the boutique has been strongly influenced by the Parisian store that includes sleek stone floors, grand fireplaces and mirrored fixtures. And if you don’t recognise the decor, you’ll certainly recognise a few of the plunging dresses hanging on the rails as you enter the space, having graced some of the most famous women in the world, most notably Kim Kardashian and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. However, take yourself down to the basement and you’ll find the ultra-modern menswear space decked out with marble furnishings, sleek suede sofas and a selection of the brand’s key pieces from this season; block coloured bikers, leather trousers and beaded Aztec-inspired jackets.
